Natural waterfalls are among the most beautiful sights the Finnish wilderness has to offer a traveler. Especially the rugged forests and mountain areas of Northern Finland, Koillismaa and Kainuu conceal waterfalls both large and small that can give memorable experiences for those who know where to look. The Finnish waterfalls are the pearls of our wilderness and national treasures that we all should cherish.

This site is dedicated to the free waterfalls of my home country, with a purpose to promote nature-based tourism in Finland. I have photographed all of these falls on my travels and hiking trips since 2009, and the journey still continues. Welcome to the foaming world of Finnish waterfalls!
